Strange statement edit

"Formerly located at the confluence of the Indus and Chenab rivers, it is now removed to Mithankot, some 100 km from that confluence."

The meaning of this sentence is obscure. Has the location of the city actually moved 100 km ? Or is the city in the same place, but the location where the rivers join has moved ? The second meaning seems more likely, in which case the sentence should be changed.Eregli bob (talk) 11:08, 23 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

I hadn't seen the above when I noticed the same thing, and changed the page accordingly. I just assumed that cities don't move, but confluences in flat land do. Maproom (talk) 15:30, 23 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Original research and out of scope edit

The ancient section of this page included a lot of original research. The text has been copied and pasted between different cities (the citation given shows a search term for Chitral). It is not properly cited, and has many claims which are not even in the source. And beside, the information given is not even important to Uch - it may be better off on a page about the history of punjab if it can be properly sourced. but this page doesnt need a lengthy discussion about changragupta's treaty with selceus etc etc Alishernavoi (talk) 07:16, 3 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
