Sorry, this is my first edit. But the title of this page is completely wrong. The Article describes the UNESCO Headquarters building, a key work of modern architecture. It has NOTHING to do with the World Heritage Centre, which was created in 1992 by the then Director General of UNESCO, Federico Mayor to service the needs of one of UNESCO's flagship programmes, the World Heritage Convention. The World Heritage Centre, with less than 50 people, occupies "Batiment 3", a small building behind the headquarters building originally built to house UNESCO's member delegations. The page currently implies that somehow UNESCO and the World Heritage Centre are synonymous, or equivalent. The World Heritage Centre is currently a programme within (what used to be called) the Culture Sector.RDescartes61 (talk) 00:39, 7 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm reopening the discussion (2016). The title in English is wrong (and correct in French, Spanish, Esperanto...).We are talking about the UNESCO headquarters. The World Heritage Centre is the focal point and coordinator within UNESCO for all matters related to World Heritage. E.poul (talk) 09:55, 19 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
