Inspired by Rock Around the Clock?

About 20 years ago I was reading a book on Eddie Cochran and it said that "Twenty Flight Rock" was directly inspired by Rock Around the Clock. I don't remember the book - doesn't anyone have a source for this so it can be put into the article? 23skidoo 06:20, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

how many flights for 20 flights?

In the trivia section, its pointed out that to get to the 20th floor, one would only actually climb 19 flights.

In the UK, we start at the ground floor, the next floor up is the first and so on, so to get to the 20th floor we climb 20 flights.

"Lyrics end on a...morbid note" how?

After the article states "The lyrics end on a surprisingly morbid note", I'm disappointed that the article doesn't then say specifically how. For the record (and hopefully for the article itself, if not directly quoting, as I'm about to), the last verse (before another refrain) says, "All this climbin' is a-gettin' me down/They'll find my corpse draped over a rail". 2601:545:8201:6290:0:0:0:B7E (talk) 14:29, 19 May 2022 (UTC)

I have added the lyric, although there is actually another final chorus before the song ends. Unfortunately the claim, that it's morbid compared to other pop songs of the time, is unsourced. So without the evidence, a trim may be required. Martinevans123 (talk) 17:17, 19 May 2022 (UTC)
