If Truck scales are notable, why isn't Truck scale software? Biscuittin 15:56, 12 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

I don't understand why this article has been labelled "Not notable" and I intend to remove the "Not notable" tag unless someone gives an explanation. Biscuittin 19:12, 12 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Verbose article edit

I think this article is too verbose so I have removed this chunk of text:

In general, the actual scale itself along with most of the physical equipment involved in a weighing system are provided by scale systems vendors. Most of the software development companies only provide their software and services as "attachments" to an existing scale system and are not involved directly with sales or installation of scale equipment. However, there are many scale vendors who provide proprietary or custom data collection solutions to their customers.

If anyone disagrees, they can replace it. Biscuittin 19:19, 12 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Possible copyvio edit

Either this is a copyvio of [1], or vice versa. It's hard to tell. The article dates from 2006 and had spelling errors in the original; the other site is copyrighted 2007 and does not have the spelling errors. Jfire (talk) 00:13, 19 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

citequote edit

This sentence has been marked for citequote: 'It is not uncommon for a software package to have an obscure feature only because one particular customer "had to have it and was willing to pay for it".' That an actual person actually said that is apocryphal, but the sentence describes One-off code, especially in industry-specific software. Any citations, thought that this 'problem' is notable prevelant in the truck scale software, above and beyond software projects in general.Cander0000 (talk) 04:11, 12 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Minor Changes edit

Changed the text slightly and added the reference to Weighbridge software which is more common in Europe, Also added reference to the WELMEC guide for software that is in use as legal for trade again another EU requirement.

I have a conflict of interest as I work for the company Rice Lake Weighing Systems. We also provide Truck Scale Software and would like to be added to the "Various Truck Scale Software Providers" list if possible. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rice_Lake_Weighing_Systems http://www.ricelake.com/products/automated-ticketing/ontrak Could someone please help us with this? I do not want to overstep my bounds due to my conflict of interest. Thank you! Tech writer54868 (talk) 14:25, 11 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
