Honestly I have never heard of the Tour/Giro/Worlds triple being recognized as the "Triple Crown" in a widespread, traditional manner. Actually, this article has few sources, and none with established cycling observers alluding to the term.
It looks to me this is some nickname that may have been given to Stephen Roche's highly successful season by a couple writers, and a fan decided to do a Wiki page about it.
Not that this is not a superb accomplishment, because it is, but I have never seen it formally acknowledged in cycling media like tennis' Grand Slam.
Maybe it is a term specific to the British Isles? Then again if it is, we would need at least a few books, almanachs or articles from said region's top cycling observers making mention of it, in order to recognize it.
Googling the term offers precious little results relevant to this Wiki page's main definition of "Triple Crown of Cycling". It seems disputable to me that this should be the hardest thing to win if no one has managed yet to win the 3 grand tours in the same year. Sephia karta 16:42, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

If you won't to get really pedantic you could say the hardest thing to do would be to win every single cycling race there was during the year. Of course people can always think of harder and harder things to have done. But however I'm sure most people realise what is meant here, as the hardest combination anybody has actually done. Except that the combination I mentioned is actually a combination that is referred to on other pages, has been aspired to by many cyclists and is a more 'logical' combination than the one mentioned on this page.

Women's Grand Tours

Are the women's races classed as grand tours or are they "like" the women's version of a grand tour. I know a discussion about their status was done on a different page but cannot remember where. Because if the races are not Grand Tours then they do not belong here, maybe a women equivalent of this page could be made, or a note saying they're the a different race to the others. Adding on to this now. The women's races as per this section of article and sourcing here Grand_Tour_(cycling)#Women's_Grand_Tour_events shows that the women's races are not equivalent to the men's Grand Tours. Therefore if they are added they should be in a separate section. The info about van Vleuten in the earl part of the article clearly shows the difference between the feats hence the separate section. Until the three Grand Tour equivalents are named as such I feel they should not be added to the article. Paulpat99 (talk) 03:33, 24 February 2023 (UTC)
