Allergies edit

Tricalcium phosphate is found in foods, like pancake mixes. Some people have had allergic reactions to them. How can the severity of this be addressed in this article? Tyciol (talk) 01:15, 16 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Can we get a photo of the actual chemical? Badagnani (talk) 02:05, 29 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Chemical Formula edit

The chemical formula is wrong, it should be Ca3(PO4)2. Then the fomula will agree with the molar mass. Anyone object to changing it?Rgbutler (talk) 20:05, 12 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have now fixed it. Thanks for catching the error. -- Ed (Edgar181) 23:31, 12 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Another use in medicine edit

My wife had surgery on her shoulder, part of which involved cutting the biceps tendon and reattaching it to the humerus lower down. Aparently the screw used to hold it is place is tricalcium phosphate. The surgeon said that it will take about a year to dissolve, during which time it wil be replaced by bone. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:8003:E414:3A01:E4D9:3CF3:B8AA:4131 (talk) 03:40, 11 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
