Clarity on yeast state edit

I feel like the description of this species as a "parasitic yeast" is a bit confusing to the layman. My sense is that generally non-experts think of a "yeast" as a fungus that is unicellular throughout its entire life cycle, which these fungi are not - the phase of the life cycle a non-expert would most commonly encounter for this species is the multicellular fruiting body, which looks nothing like what most would imagine a "yeast" to be. The actual taxonomy gets very complicated what with the "true yeasts" versus those such as this species, which at some point have been dubbed "yeasts," but actually now reside in completely separate phyla.

Can anyone who knows more about mycology edit this to clarify that in this context, "yeast" refers specifically to the unicellular anamorphic stage of this fungus's life cycle and is not intending to describe where this species falls taxonomically? As a non-expert I am not sure that I could do this without making a bigger mess out of things. Mb620 (talk) 10:32, 18 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
