Original research

There is an awful lot of what looks to be 'original research' in here. Many statements seem to be unsubstiantated and overgeneralized. There also seems to be a lot of emphasis on the notion of what a treaty is regarded as since the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties went into effect in 1980. When I have a chance in the future, I will try to outline some of these issues and bring them up here before making changes to the article. However, due to other time commitments I have at the present time, it may be a while. ludahai 魯大海 (talk) 23:36, 1 February 2014 (UTC)

The United States Law section does not directly relate to treaties in the general sense. It should be moved to another page or given its own page. A reference to the new location can be left on this page. (Teryx 06:35, 1 September 2005 (UTC))
