Instagram edit

Ask for opinion: would the Instagram account of the TSA notable enough to be mentioned in this article? SYSS Mouse (talk) 01:43, 26 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Use of File:US Navy 050815-F-4201N-092 A member of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) conducts a security search for unidentified objects during an alert response mission during Alaska Shield-Northern Edge.jpg edit

As if the file name wasn't ridiculous enough, but that's not why I'm here. Just the other day, I was reading more pissing and moaning about the lack of an equivalent to WP:V on Commons. Sure enough, it appears that no one actually looked at this photo before adding it to the article. Here we have the U.S. military pushing POV by claiming that this is "A member of the Transportation Security Administration", yet his shoulder patch says "Airport Police" and also shows an Alaska flag, not a U.S. flag. TSA staff are really going to wear such a shoulder patch? In all likelihood, this is/was a Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport police officer, but there's a lack of sufficient detail surfacing from the POV. Quiet Skies edit

I think there's enough for the Quiet Skies (now a redirect here) article now. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 00:40, 30 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Okay, I guess not. There's content in the article now about it, so fine. It will break away if and when appropriate.

ACLU study edit

[1] "In particular, the TSA documents indicate a substantial focus on Arabs, Muslims and Latinos, despite repeated TSA assurances that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) component does not profile travelers based on ethnicity, race or religion." What section should this go in? Benjamin (talk) 19:37, 4 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Logo change edit

Johnstondavidl has recently changed the logo, which was File:Transportation Security Administration logo.svg, from the entire logo to just the seal with no explanation was given. In my opinion there is no reason to change the logo to the only the seal. We have the entire logos for most other DHS agencies, why should TSA be any different? I also can't seem to find a source that uses this version. I have reverted the logo back to what it was prior to their edits – File:Transportation Security Administration logo.svg. I also have potential concerns of a possible conflict of interest between the user and the TSA. Corky 18:51, 14 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

As of yesterday, June 4th, it looks like the logo/seal change is official. If you visit tsa.gov, the wordmark logo has been replaced with the seal.--TUFKAAP (talk) 19:13, 5 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
