Geographical particularities edit
In many European countries (Germany, Switzerland, France) public-transit tickets are often valid for any combinations of modes of transportation, i.e., customers can change freely between buses, trams, trains, and even boats. In the U.S., in contrast, special transfer tickets are often required and sometimes even incur an additional fee. Which philosophy is prevalent globally? --EnOreg (talk) 14:01, 13 September 2011 (UTC)
