Right now this article reads as a biography for Andrew Garcia. That should change as more focus is put on describing the book. Garcia needs his own page.Jacqke (talk) 01:47, 27 December 2011 (UTC)
I'm going to be doing some work on this article in the coming days, as the historical society where I work holds Garcia's and Stein's papers relevant to the creation of this book, as well as a few relevant print sources. The suggestion that Garcia have his own page and that the biographical information be moved there seems sound; I think there's enough information available both about him generally and the book specifically to support two articles. I will review my sources and pre-write on my own computer before going live on the Wikipedia edit page, as there's rather a lot to adjust or add.
I'm not sure of the reliability of the "Andrew Garcia--Mountain Man" page on Franksrealm.com, as the author of that page cites only a person's name as his source and some of the information cited therefrom contradicts the information available in the book and in the Garcia/Stein manuscript collection at the Montana Historical Society.
