In numerous sources (including his own wiki page), New York session man Wild Jimmy Spruill is credited as having played guitar on the original hit version by Bobby Lewis. Spruill is not presently credited in this article. Only one source (the one linked from this article) credits co-writer Ritchie Adams and Eric Gale as the guitar players. It sounds like more than one guitar on the recording. I have reached out to the person who made the web page crediting Adams and Gale to see where they got that information from. In the meantime, in a few days I will credit Spruill in this article. If there are objections or anything else I should know, feel free to respond here. The suggestion that Eric Gale was the guitarist seems to have come from this site. Other sources - such as Allmusic and Black Cat Rockabilly - suggest it was Spruill. Any more information would be welcome. Ghmyrtle (talk) 08:23, 3 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
