Talk:Toprock

Observations edit

There are no confirmed reports that "uprocking" and "toprocking" developed from the ginga of capoeira. None of the original bboys or the famous bboys from the late 70s to 80s ever claimed they learned uprocking or toprocking from capoeira. Refer to Wiki article "uprock" for more information. In addition, the terms "the rock" and "Brooklyn rock" should all refer to uprock, but I have not learned how to link them to the "uprock" article.

One cannot have an article about toprocking without mentioning the Indian step, which is pretty much the earliest learned and most commonly performed toprock move. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.69.98.76 (talk) 07:36, 6 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion edit

I oppose deletion. Toprock is a fundamental element of breakdance. It's cross-referenced in multiple B-boying articles. I'll try to add some outside sources. - Draeco (talk) 17:07, 4 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
