Either this is in error, or it probably means that Augustus invented them from whole cloth; otherwise, how would we know of their existence? The article is fine, but could use some verification and clarification from modern Anglophone scholarship. Cynwolfe (talk) 12:36, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
