This article is unbalanced to the point of insult. I didn't check the ref from 1900. The most recent reference was a dead link and not archived. However, I turned up a copy on Internet archive: https://archive.org/details/DTIC_ADA350167/page/n135/mode/1up That document seems even more of an insult to the indigenous people. Nevertheless Appendix B has the US Army order of battle for those readers wanting details. I am sure the descendants of those “dead Indians“ would appreciate knowing that a US musician had been wounded. I apologize for my sarcasm but I’ve been spending far too much time on one-sided American history. I suggest this article be deleted and the link to the reference be included in the main article.
