Removal of certain stuff. edit

I don’t disagree with these two edits here and here, but I reverted them because no reason was given, and I wanted to make sure that no one had any reasonable objection to their removal. What do people think? RGloucester (talk) 05:20, 21 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

I've gone and reinstated the cuts. I think it is worthwhile. RGloucester (talk) 19:52, 21 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Obama activities night of attack edit

There has been much written recently regarding what President Obama had done the afternoon to night of the attack. Also, it was reported that the night of the attack the President attended a fundraiser hosted by Jay-Z (MTV, Brietbart, Huffington Post, Enterntainment Weekly). Yet this is not mentioned anywhere in the main article, or this sub-article. Does it have sufficient weight to be included?--RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 00:01, 9 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Demonstrating the facts of the President's activities for the entire day of 9-11-12 seems to be a worthy goal. Several sources had to be removed because they did not match the actual timeline. For example, whereas some sources speculated based on unnamed contacts that the President was in the control room watching the attack begin to unfold, he was in fact at Bethesda when the attack commenced. Likewise, if the President's further actions could be construed by the reader as frivolous, they are nonetheless important to present. Rather than favor any observation based on chronologyy alone, the entire day should be represented so the reader can draw their own conclusions. ClaudeReigns (talk) 04:13, 9 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
Here is what was posted for the day at whitehouse.gov. And this is what was posted for the day on CNN.
SECDEF Panetta, states that on the day of the attack, that he only spoke to POTUS Obama once for 30 minutes at around 1700 eastern time. Here is the CSPAN video of the questioning on 7FEB2013 directly from their website.--RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 14:47, 9 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

GEN Ham and RDML Gaouette edit

Should there be mentions of the removal of command of GEN Ham and RDML Gaouette? There are references that connect the two to the subject of this article, and references that deny that the removal of the two general/flag officers are connected to the attacks.
