Pretty important piece of the timeline missing? edit
Shouldn't the timeline in the first table include the founding of the first Christian hospital, which marks the beginning of the second revolution in medical history?
The second great sweep of medical history begins at the end of the fourth century, with the founding of the first Christian hospital at Caesarea in Cappadocia, and concludes at the end of the fourteenth century, with medicine well ensconced in the universities and in the public life of the emerging nations of Europe. After Basil of Caesarea founded the first Christian hospital, it only took a few decades (by the beginning of the 5th century) for the institution to become ubiquitous throughout the Byzantine world. This drastic shift is totally forgotten in the article.Wallingfordtoday (talk) 00:39, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
Ashoka founded chain of hospitals? No edit
One of the earliest points on the timeline is that Ashoka (or Asoka), an early Indian monarch who converted to Buddhism, founded a chain of hospitals. The citation doesn't work, and for good reason -- the entire story is a myth, and should be removed from the page.Wallingfordtoday (talk) 03:16, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
