The statements made about Stephens are sourced to the BBC, which is basically the textbook definition of a WP:RS. Sensitivity is required in situations regarding WP:BLP but considerable restraint was shown by editors who chose not to, for instance, reference Stephens' actions as "a catalogue of criminality" as the BBC quotes.
