How do we know he took his seat on November 13, 2006? Please give a source.—Markles 06:26, 16 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

The goveror did not call a special election to fill foley's Seat. Therefore, the seat was vacant until Mahoney took office on January 4, 2007.

Where's the source? Everything I've looked at says the seat is still vacant. See, e.g., http://clerk.house.gov/members/electionInfo/vacancies.html. As for others, TX-22 and NJ13 were filled this past week, but that's all. Duke Cunningham's seat (CA-50 was filled over the summer, long before this election.—Markles 13:18, 18 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
