this article should be merged into the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiffin_wallah category as it the latter is more exhaustive, and this 1 para article can fit in there somewhere. Lihaas (talk) 16:35, 26 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

In parts of the UK it was called billy box, according to comment made on German diccionary LEO: http://dict.leo.org/forum/viewUnsolvedquery.php?idThread=174895&idForum=1&lang=de&lp=ende

In German I think the correct term is Henkelmann; but perhapps not commonly known; I think people will call it a Frühstückdose, which is the Western concept of a lunchbox. In the Portuguese language, in Brazil most call it a marmita; except in the southernmost state of Riogrande do Sul (settled largely by Azoreans, at least as far as the Portuguese speaking first settlers were concerned), where it is called a vianda.
