Comment by Yanis Varoufakis at NYPL 2016 edit

I was watching a discussion between Varoufakis and Chomsky and Varoufakis mentioned that he considers Thomas Wieser as head of the Eurogroup Working Group, which is a cabinet of the Eurogroup is the real ruler of the European Union.

Would this be worth mentioning in the article?

Also there's more information on Thomas Wieser here:

Dubious edit

Link is from 2006, potentially out of date. Also, the information doesn't seem to be present in the articel. Jonpatterns (talk) 16:35, 28 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

I replaced "pre-approves" with "prepares" which is a more official and neutral term. The 2006 article is to explain how an official EU body (ECOFIN) can "depend" on a body which doesn't or didn't even formally exist. Nemo 15:39, 8 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
