Lyttelton edit
The book Letters of the Late Lord Lyttleton spells his name "Lyttleton" not "Lyttelton"; are these variant spellings, and if so is there any reason why it isn't mentioned in the article? --xensyriaT 18:57, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
- The name is frequently misspelt, but the family have always used "el", since at least the 18th century. The fact that some editor mistakenly "corrected" the spelling is no reason to change the title, but it might be appropriate to add a mention of it to the article. William Cobbett's Parliamentary History of England (example, XVIII, p. 713) spells the name as Lyttelton.Chagallophile (talk) 23:06, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
