The very remembrance of Tommy Duerden always brings an inner glow.I always think of this great musician with deep affection for his eccentricities and his deep humanity.His particular skills lay in his deep understanding of all forms of church music and his sensitive interpretation thereof.Coupled with his inspirational ability to teach and train the choristers and lay clerks under his care with his insistence on perfection produced an experience which not only enthralled the ear;but also enhanced and deepened the devotional experience of the worship.
