Reference pictures edit

While checking the edit regarding Kevin, found this site: http://www.oldmillstation.com/new2009.htm which conveniently shows all the new models for 2009 on one page. Since the 2008 page also exists still, there is a chance that the company maintains these pages as archives. Unfortunately, Kevin's picture was not downloading, however there is a pic of him at the Thomas Wikia site: http://ttte.wikia.com/wiki/Kevin (and he is, indeed, a 3-wheeled mobile crane, and not an engine at all) -- EdJogg (talk) 23:02, 5 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

"Henry Sees Red" edit

An anon editor has added:

' "Henry Sees Red" was loosely adapted in Season 13 of the TV Series.'

to the List of Railway Series books article (this diff). I have added a {{fact}} tag as I cannot see the connection. (I haven't seen the episode, and I can't remember the story off-hand, so the comment is of little help to WP readers!) Any clues please?

They're probably talking about the James episode "Tickled Pink" (both are about a character being embarrassed by his undercoat). Not so sure you could say "adapted", but I haven't seen the TV story yet. Starkiller (talk) 19:39, 4 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
I later remembered that the (book) story featured Henry running in red oxide primer (not 'pink'!), and I looked more carefully at the episode list to see that it was James involved here, not Henry. Not sure we can really link the two stories together can we? I guess you can imagine the T&F story writers raiding the remaining RWS books for ideas...
I think that we should leave the two stories unconnected. Just by linking them in the text we are 'synthesizing' the idea that one was based on the other, and mirror sites will reflect this around the world. As we have no proof for this, it's best to leave it unsaid. Thanks for helping me think this through.

Colour contrast problems edit

It seems that this article is using colours in the infobox which don't satisfy Wikipedia's accessibility guidelines. The contrast between the foreground colour and the background colour is low, which means that it may be difficult or impossible for people with visual impairments to read it.

To correct this problem, a group of editors have decided to remove support for invalid colours from Template:Infobox television season and other television season templates after 1 September 2015. If you would still like to use custom colours for the infobox and episode list in this article after that date, please ensure that the colours meet the WCAG AAA standard.

To test whether a colour combination is AAA-compliant you can use Snook's colour contrast tool. If your background colour is dark, then please test it against a foreground colour of "FFFFFF" (white). If it is light, please test it against a foreground colour of "000000" (black). The tool needs to say "YES" in the box for "WCAG 2 AAA Compliant" when you input the foreground and the background colour. You can generally make your colour compliant by adjusting the "Value (%)" fader in the middle box.

Please be sure to change the invalid colour in every place that it appears, including the infobox, the episode list, and the series overview table. If you have any questions about this, please ask on Template talk:Infobox television season. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 05:31, 2 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
