Opening date edit

Given that this is the fourth bridge to be erected at this site, why does the opening date still reflect the date of the third bridge's opening? It should either be 1797 or 2004, depending on whether you want to state when the first crossing or the current structure was inaugurated; the date of opening of an intermediate structure is not relevant either way.
