Change of citation style edit

Dear wikipedians User:Laurel Lodged, User:Chrisdoyleorwell, User:SeoR, User:Mccunney, User:Waacstats, User:BrownHairedGirl, User:Shtove, User:Auntof6, User:Opera hat. You are the article's major contributors. It is rated Stub and has 4 citations of the style <ref></ref> and one of style {{Sfn}}. I would like to extend the article and change the citation style to use "short" descriptions in the text ({{Sfn}}) and "long" ones using templates (e.g. {{Cite book}}) in a list of sources like in the recent FA Frederick the Great. As prescribed in WP:CITEVAR, I formally ask your permission. I hope to obtain a sufficient number of permissions, but if nobody replies within a month, I will assume that I can go ahead without further ado.

In hope of further good collaboration, with thanks and best regards, Johannes Schade (talk) 15:47, 19 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for asking. I have no objection, the style should be consistent, and if SFN suits better, grand. The growth of the article would be a great thing. SeoR (talk) 15:59, 19 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Johannes Schade: Those sound like great improvements. They will make the references more readable for readers, and the wiki markup more readable for editors. BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 16:05, 19 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

  • Go for it. Laurel Lodged (talk) 21:37, 19 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • My contribution was 12 years ago and minor, so I don't feel I'm a major contributor to this article. I'm okay with any standard consistent style. --Auntof6 (talk) 10:07, 20 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
