Talk:The Write Stuff

Latest comment: 8 years ago by Lorcan in topic Series numbering

This article is in its infancy, but it seemed fitting to include it in Wikipedia, as there are entries on many other comedy programmes broadcast on Radio 4, including Just a Minute, The Now Show, Dead Ringers, The News Quiz, The Museum of Curiosity and I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue. It will be good if the project groups for the BBC or for radio look after this one. ACEOREVIVED (talk) 20:15, 12 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Incorrectly linked

edit

This page has nothing to do with the 1980s word processor "The Write Stuff" by R. Eric Lee of Busy Bee Software.

Somebody should fix the link so it doesn't direct people from List of word processors to this page. Dexter Nextnumber (talk) 06:02, 27 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Does anyone know what the theme tune is to this programme? Alsager boy (talk) 18:08, 19 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Series numbering

edit

The BBC have never seemed sure about how many series had been broadcast, with the result that on the BBC website they labelled the fifth series (April-May 2001) as Series 1 and carried on numbering from there. When filling in the Wikipedia page I referenced the preceding four series by their year (1998 to 2001) in order to remain consistent with the BBC numbering. Now, however, I note that the BBC have started referring to as Series 15 what they had previously called Series 11 (2012) so they may be belatedly realising that the old numbering was not correct (although their series list is still looking odd and incomplete; see [[1]]. The Wikipedia page is, at least, complete and self-consistent - should we postpone renumbering it until the BBC produce something more complete? Lorcan (talk) 12:58, 7 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
