Two contradictions? edit

Two contradictions in the first three sentences?

"The Weir is a play written by Conor McPherson in 1998. It was first produced at The Royal Court Theatre Upstairs in London, England, on 4 July 1997. It first appeared on Broadway at the Walter Kerr Theatre on 1 April 1997.[1]"

So it was written in 1998.

But it was first produced in July *1997*. A year before it was written?

Again, it appeared in Broadway in April 1997. Then obviously it couldn't have been produced *first* in July 1997 in London?

These dates need fixing please!

P.S. Great playwright though - saw his Seafarer at the National this year - staggering!!!

Thanks a lot for the note! Quite the error on my part, as I made two numerical errors when writing the introduction. I've since fixed the article, but again, thanks a lot for taking time out of your day to note the mistake! gaillimhConas tá tú? 08:00, 23 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
