Bloomsbury

The Coterie is listed as being a second generation active in the 1910, and patrons of artists of the time such as Whistler and Burne-Jones. Whistler died in 1903, Burne-Jones in 1898. Their parents, the Souls, (and grandparents) were their patrons. This sentence (at the bottom of the ‘Souls’ entry) is hard to understand: “Raymond Asquith, eldest son of Prime Minister H. H. Asquith, was a member of the Coterie, but not out of sympathy with his stepmother, Margot Tennant Asquith.” I have no idea what it means (“but not out of sympathy with ...”) Thanks, and sorry for my poor formatting 2604:3D08:347E:5C00:C4E8:E22A:34D1:C097 (talk) 08:49, 7 May 2021 (UTC)Sylvia

The Balfours

I am not sure that there should be a section called The Balfours including Arthur Balfour and Edith Sophy Balfour as this would imply they were relatives. However her article and that of her father Archibald Balfour do not mention any relation to Arthur Balfour and I cannot find any evidence that they were related, so they might be best listed under others as the other name groups seem to be blood relatives or spouses. Also the fact that it says immediately before that "most or perhaps all of the women in this list were members of The Souls on their own merits before they married other members" makes me think a casual reader would assume that they were a married couple. Dunarc (talk) 23:57, 18 December 2021 (UTC)
