PLOT Incomplete edit

Can someone please complete the plot? Willemvh12 (talk) 20:00, 11 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Granted, the plot summary reads more like a cover blurb than a synopsis. But to add more raises an important question: Should Wikipedia reveal the whole plot, and spoil the suspense for a reader? I will see if I can find some guidelines....D A Patriarche, BSc (talk) (talk) 01:58, 11 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
Help:Collaborating with Other Editors/Resolving Content Disputes is clear that Plot Summaries are not suitable Wikipedia content, so rather than extend the Plot Summary it should be redacted to simply indicate the genre of the novel. D A Patriarche, BSc (talk) (talk) 02:09, 11 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Errors edit

I checked with a senior editor, who advised "errors" would be a welcome addition to any novel page.

The error in the use of telephone scramblers may be intentional literary license on Ludlum's part, as he would surely be aware of how scramblers work. The error is justified by the author by a brief reference to a new technology: "point-of-origin scramblers"[1], but this is incompatible with 1993 technology and afaik inherently impossible. The ref to back up the error claim is the wiki page scrambler. — Preceding unsigned comment added by D A Patriarche (talkcontribs) 01:53, 11 May 2014 (UTC)D A Patriarche, BSc (talk) (talk) 03:54, 21 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
