BE THERE FOR "THE OUTSIDERS" MUSEUM OPENING IN LATE 2017! edit

Save any catastrophes, I will definitely be there when "The Outsiders Museum" opens in late 2017 at

731 N. St Louis Avenue Tulsa, Oklahoma 74106 USA

The Museum pays tribute to Susan E. Hinton's troubled teens of Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1965, who still jump off of the pages of her novel and into the hearts of millions, in her work called "The Outsiders".

It's remarkable that S.E. Hinton was only a teen herself when she brought to life characters like "Ponyboy", "Dally", and "Johnny". The teens from "The Outsiders" are simple, yet crucial, examples of the complex class system in the mid-1960s and how the "haves and have nots" directed the lives of nearly all teens in the U.S.A. Unfortunately, too many people can still relate to this class system because it has never entirely gone away for teens or adults.

Big kuddos to Danny Boy O'Connor, a founding member of the hip hop group "House of Pain". He is responsible for "The Outsiders Museum" in Tulsa, Oklahoma; keeping the original movie set house, where the primary characters of "The Outsiders" lived, hung out, and carried out their quest for survival as only they could understand it, as the Greasers.

I truly thank Ms. Susan E. Hinton (the author of "The Outsiders), Francis Ford Copola (who directed the film version of "The Outsiders") and Mr. Danny Boy O'Connor, who purchased the original house to be used as the Museum.

By visiting this "Outsiders" Museum visitors will stay in touch with their own feelings about "The Outsiders", help keep our true American cult of the 1960s alive, and save the valuable lessons the Greasers and Socs bring to us and future generations.

The Museum will not only also pay tribute to the fictional characters from "The Outsiders" who are, seemingly, real in the hearts of those who have read the book or watched the movie. It will honor the very early talents of a rare group of Americam actors who went on to become quite famous.

C for sure from a quick glance, definitely far beyond a Stub and seems above Start. If anyone wants to give it a more in-depth assessment before I get around to it, feel free. TheDoctorWho (talk) 17:35, 6 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
