Reception?

Considering, for a direct-to-video movie, this movie had such impressive sales, is it possible we could get some critical opinion in the article? Just feels more important than some of the existing sections of the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Prodigis (talkcontribs) 21:17, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Impressive sales for sequels of great hits like The Lion King means nothing. Actually this is nothing more than cheapquel which is not considered as canons by many fans and has 5.8 on IMDB. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.173.18.179 (talk) 20:47, 3 February 2011 (UTC)

Zira drowning?

The plot description says that Zira drowned, but if no one remembers, they never really found her dead or mentioned how she may have died, she merely fell and was swept away. I mean, it's a possibility that she did drown, but thats not really canon. Can we change that? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.165.233.246 (talk) 01:53, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

YOU ROCK DUDE!!!! She might have survived, the possibility is very high! A friend of mine had survived after he got sucked into a twister in the outskirts of Arad City.

Wait, WAIT JUST A FRIKKEN MINUTE! If someone gets carried away by a twister, he will meet the Scarecrow, Tin Woodman and the Cowardly ... WHO???? OMG!!!! I knew that The Lion King has something to do with the Wizard of Oz!!!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.190.194.119 (talk) 17:51, 27 January 2012 (UTC)

Lion Colors

I'm pretty sure about this, but I watched this about 6 years ago so my memory may be hazy. When I watched it I noticed the animators took a slight departure from the established colors of lions in the series. Scar was a very reddish orange color to help differentiate him as evil, while every other male lion in the original Lion King was a bright yellow-orange. The female lions were a pale yellow-orange. Yet in this sequel they threw that out the window and the main character was a female while having the typical male lion color. That kind of irritated me when I saw this movie. I'm not saying that anything should be any specific color or anything, but I liked the system as it was originally established.

Hello. Please sign your comments on talk pages using ~~~~. Although you raise very good points (the team that made Simba's Pride never paid much attention to the original film), this is a page for discussing how to improve on the article, not the film itself. That's a hard judgment to make, as the only 2 males were father and son. It can be assumed that Kiara is "manly" in coloration due to her lineage, not her gender. Also, Kovu is darker in tone, much like Scar, but he is not evil, whereas Nuka is pale, but obviously dark in character.Rainbowpandachan 04:31, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

Actually, Kiara's color is more of a peach-orange color, her color is a different shade than that of a female lion or a male lion. The color came about by mixing the colors of a female lion and male lion, creating the dark, yet feminine orange color she currently has. 69.92.32.195 18:37, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

DVD versions

About 2 weeks ago I bought Simba's Pride on DVD - it was one disc Polish Special Edition. Does anybody know what featurettes are included into the first edition of Simba's Pride DVD? Maybe informations about the DVD versions should be added? Pobe 01:24, 4 February 2007 —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 83.238.238.201 (talk) 00:24, 4 February 2007 (UTC).

Song 'Love will find a way'

It would appear that the link to the wikipedia page for the above song relates to a different song by the same name: by the band 'Bardot'. This was recorded in 2002, around 4 years after the release of the film. I trust somebody can set this record straight, although I have no knowledge of it personally - I simply spotted the discrepancy. Electrodiesel 22:10, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Tlkreturn2priderock.jpg

Image:Tlkreturn2priderock.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. what Happend to the other kid?

I dont know how many of you know the originale lion king story (the books) but Simba get two childs there is the all known Kiara, but also the little unknown boy of SImba; Kopa. In lion king 1 we actually get to se him, anyone can se that in the end Rafiki hold up a cub, clearly a boy, that is him. But in lion king 2 they have suddenly only the girl. In the books "Six new adventures" He is almost the main character. (it a while since I read it, but I cant remember anything about kiara.) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.135.34.35 (talk) 15:26, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

I'm just following a story that somebody told me (I've also made it my theory) but I was told that Zira killed Kopa in vengeance for Scar and that's why Simba is overprotective of his daughter. If Zira did kill Kopa, that would explain another reason why, other than the fact she was a follower of Scar, she was exiled. Vitani would have been the same age as Kopa and therefore able to 'make friends' with him. Zira probably hid the fact that she was a follower of Scar. Either she or maybe even Nuka would have finished off Kopa. But a lioness probably saw it and told Simba. Simba banished Zira and her three cubs. --- Kaleidoscope

Nothing happened. Disney just give no shit to Kopa and TLK's universe integrity. It's pretty obvious but SP-fans just can't admit.

>"that would explain another reason why, other than the fact she was a follower of Scar, she was exiled"

That would explain nothing because the problem is not Zira but all outlanders. It's impossible for Scar to have half of the pride as his followers. Actually he wouldn't need even hyenas if he had at least 2 lionesses like Zira to create the stempede.

Simba killed Scar?

Actually, in this movie, Zira and Kovu say that Simba killed Scar, but this in incorrect; the hyenas actually killed Scar. I just thought I should add this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by CocoBandicoot17 (talkcontribs) 00:59, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

True, the hyneas did kill Scar - but they wouldn't have if Scar hadn't betrayed them, which he wouldn't have if Simba hadn't shown up. Therefore, in Zira's twisted mind, Simba is responsible for Scar's death, and she passed that version on to Kovu, who, not knowing any better, believed her.

Nuka - Scar's Son

"Nuka is Zira and Scar's somewhat neurotic son" I thought it was unconfirmed if Scar was his son? It was just a theory, speculation, last I checked. ~Reika 麗香 22:28, 15 August 2009 (UTC)

It was never really said that Nuka or Vitani were Scar's cubs but it is implied. Zira loved Scar and Nuka and Vitani were HER cubs. A couple of times Nuka did say that Kovu wasn't even related to Scar and that HE should be rightful leader, implying in a way that he was Scar's son. It's still mostly a theory but I think we can safely say that Nuka and Vitani were the cubs of Scar, or at least, would have been adopted with Kovu when Scar was ruling the Pride Lands. --- Kaleidoscope

List of Characters

What happened to list of characters that used to be there? ~Reika 麗香 00:21, 22 September 2009 (UTC)

It was removed. Character sections are neither necessary nor appropriate in film articles. The plot section already covers the same information. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 00:41, 22 September 2009 (UTC)
Ah, okay. Thank you! ~Reika 03:11, 22 September 2009 (UTC)

Kiara's Voice Actress

Mary Gibbs was listed as her voice actress as a cub, but that would be impossible because Mary would have been a little over a year old at the time the film was released. Michelle Horn plays Kiara as a cub. I've edited it slightly to include both voice actresses, but it doesn't look quite right (doesn't look professional). If anyone has a better idea on how to make it look better while including the proper actors, go for it. ~Reika 03:22, 22 September 2009 (UTC)

Vitani and Prides

Vitani, at first, I thought was a male cub because of her male-like appearance. It wasn't until later than I noticed she didn't have a mane and must be female. It also brought me to the fact Simba may be related to Nala and even Kovu because, although Scar is not actually Kovu's father, I found out on WikiAnswers that there are 2-3 male lions in one pride. There are several lioness, all of which must have a father, probably Mufasa's father. Nala's father must either be Scar/Mufasa or even another male lion. But the male lion's parents could be connected to Mufasa's family tree. Not that lions care at all. And Kovu's father was neither Scar nor Mufasa or Simba, which simply means another lion and Zira. The Zira had to have come from another male lion, maybe Mufasa and Scar's father. Therefore Kovu is technically related to Simba and Kiara. And Scar took Kovu in, almost adopting him. Meaning Kovu and Kiara are cousins. It's a tiny bit wrong to date your cousin. Those are just theories though. I'm not sure if I'm right, I just trusted WikiAnswers. It makes sense though, right? Well, that's what I think. All from noticing that Scar was the only male lion around. --- Kaleidoscope

Not One of Us

It states that the side characters never talk, but in fact, we have a gopher in the first movie and the song I Just Can't Wait to be King. I advise removing that statement. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.41.3.129 (talk) 06:28, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
