Copyright edit
While copyright still subsits in the text of the poem, it is likely to be fair to quote the entire poem, since it is so short. Rich Farmbrough 00:14, 19 November 2005 (UTC)
As the guilty party, I apologise for my mistake. It was careless, but the poem is widely known and reproduced on the net, so I had assumed that the copyright (if any) had expired. I've amended the article with external references to the text. Hope this is legit. Plz let me know here and on my talk page. Mea culpa. Folks at 137 11:44, 3 January 2006 (UTC)
Background to the poem edit
There should be a mention of why the poem was written. Leo Marks wrote it for his girlfriend who was serving in Canada with the WAAF but she was killed in an accident so never saw the poem. jmb (talk) 09:26, 3 December 2011 (UTC)

Chelsea Clinton? edit
I am quite sure that this poem is read regularly at weddings. CC is kind of notable, but if we hang onto her, there could be a long list of similar celebrities coming to dominate the article. --Pete (talk) 17:38, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
