Table info edit

Hallo, Coming to update today's and last week's I see that the content of the entries has evolved over time. There was a commented-out template at the top, which I've now copied to the bottom. If we use those techniques we get a table which can be sorted by surname (important), and by date (less useful, only needed to undo any other sorting I suppose). The final column has the heading "Programme page", and 157 episodes have an external link to the programme page, but since December 2018 we've used a reference, which has the advantage of showing what we were linking to and giving access date, should the BBC ever rearrange its website and break the URLs. I think this is probably better. Ideally "someone" would convert all the 157 to references, and, more importantly, add sort keys for the guest names which don't have them: at present if you sort by that first column you get first names and surnames mixed. Now, I wonder if we can sort out the couple of red links in the list of guests... PamD 10:28, 15 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

We seem to have given up on providing sort keys in October 2017. PamD 10:30, 15 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
OK, all sort keys for names now done. PamD 10:55, 15 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Jmcc150, MerielGJones, Kwib, and Jesswade88: Just to alert editors who've added lines to the table in the last couple of years... once the pattern of a table gets broken it's natural to copy the style of the previous entry, so I hope we can now stick with using the sort keys. I've copied the template to the bottom of the table so it's more conspicuous! PamD 11:02, 15 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
@PamD: Great that you have made a uniform style for this list that can now be sorted. You are correct that when meeting a long list in different styles the obvious thing to do is copy the style of the previous entry.--MerielGJones (talk) 11:08, 15 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
