Trustworthiness of the sources? edit

The newspapers listed in the Reference section give totally different accounts of how the Kelly family was caught to the point where there is almost no overlap between the reported events, cf. e.g. https://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/lccn/sn83030272/1888-01-03/ed-1/seq-1/#date1=1887&sort=date&rows=20&words=family+Kelly&searchType=basic&sequence=0&index=8&state=&date2=1888&proxtext=Kelly+Family&y=0&x=0&dateFilterType=yearRange&page=6 and https://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/lccn/sn91068347/1888-01-12/ed-1/seq-1/#date1=1887&sort=date&rows=20&words=family+Kelly&searchType=basic&sequence=0&index=9&state=&date2=1888&proxtext=Kelly+Family&y=0&x=0&dateFilterType=yearRange&page=8.

The current depiction of the chase follows closely the January 3rd report in The Sun but upon critical inspection, the article raises the impression of having been written at least to some degree to maximize entertainment value as it resembles the style of a typical action-adventure story. This, however, cannot be proven either, but the suspicion remains that some liberties were taken by the article's author. More important, however, is the undeniable discrepancy between the version reported in The Sun and that of other newspapers.
