Ister is NOT Danube, but Dnestr or Bor-istenis river!!!!!!!!!!!! edit

It's a common misunderstanding and confussion!!!!!!!! Danube in Herodotus History is called Hipanis!!!! Actually "Ister" is the Greek name of Danube River (more correctly "Istros"). The Latin name was Danuvius. Consult the "Danube" entry. edit
