Inspiration edit

Would it be proper to mention the Bank of Credit and Commerce International as an inspiration for the story? The trailer had me thinking immediately of the real-life BCCI. knoodelhed (talk) 17:53, 25 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hmm, if there is such a connection, it would be a good idea to see if a reliable source has reported it. If we can find such a report, maybe it could be mentioned in the article. —Erik (talkcontrib) 17:59, 25 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Delayed Release edit

This film seems to have had its release delayed a number of times. I had wondered if this was because the major plot point - an evil all powerful bank - had become less marketable with major international banks falling asunder left right and centre during the current financial crisis. This is obviously not something I can back up with any sources as yet but perhaps those more interested in films may have read something somewhere to explain the delayed release. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.237.149.57 (talk) 16:44, 10 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Very likely. The song Ka-ching was treated similarly on its initial release as it condemns "American Consumption Culture" !! --Mando Salama (talk) 09:45, 16 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Governor's appearance edit

I'm pretty unsure whether this is of encyclopedic relevancy, but Mr. Roberto Formigoni, Lombardy's regional governor, made a cameo appearance (not sure how unimportant: I haven't seen the movie yet) in the film, playing himself. This is reported in an article from Italy's main newspaper Corriere della Sera at [1] (translation: [2]).

If you find this relevant, I will add it to the article. --Andylong (talk) 22:11, 18 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Details from the DVD? edit

Hi, I've just seen the movie and I really liked it. Having the DVD at hand, is it reasonable to include its details as "references" (as is usually done in wikiarticles about a book)?
