As Alcoholics Anonymous is a worldwide organization and is very influential (and also denies its involvement with religions and cults in general) I have added information regarding its relationship with the Interchurch Center.

In December the article was heavily edited by user 65.219.253.17, who also edited the article on the national Council of Churches. A great deal of useful material was added. Unfortunately, the article was also bowdlerized to the point of reading like and advertisement. In particular, a great deal of well-sourced information on the political slant of the center was removed. I have reinserted this information.Historicist (talk) 22:25, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
