A distorted portrayal of Venetian/Italian language and music edit

For those readers like me who care about knowing if a movie is faithful or not to a story, a culture or a place I would like to inform you this movie is sort of a joke. It's a distorted portrayal of Venetian/Italian language and music (most of it in the first half).

1. Around minute 10 Fergie says "gondòla" which is an Italian word with an obvious meaning. It is also obvious that it should be pronounced "gòndola" since the accent falls on the first o and never on the second, a universally infamously and popular error in pronunciation of Italian words (one of many).

2. Fergie also says "grassi" instead of "grazie" in several occasions. Literally, he says "fat" instead of "thank you". Obviously, the pronunciation is horrendously warped. Instead of pronouncing gratz-ie he says gras-si.

3. Around minute 10 one of the hotel attendants, before leaving, says "milli grassi" which, again, is not something any Italian would ever say. The correct expression is "mille grazie" which is pronounced "mil-le gratz-ie".

4. Around minute 26 a mandolin-based theme plays which, from a cultural and geographical standpoint, is misleading and inappropriate. Mandolins are typical instruments of areas or Italy like Sicily. Mandolins have little or no place in Venetian music.

5. Around minute 30 one of Fergie's buddies enters the room with a box and drops it. The sound is out of synch with the actual drop of the glasses that are presumably inside the box, something I find ridiculous from a standpoint of audio mixing (very poorly done). On top of that, Fergie's buddy says "It was the Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Maria", a clear reference to the Niña, the Pinta and the Santa María the Caravels Christopher Columbus led to the Island of Hispaniola for the Kingdom of Castile in the early 1490s, a reference that has nothing to do with the glorious and completely distinct history of the Republic of Venice (697-1797). There is probably no correlation and if there is the caravels don't make any sense in the story.
