So the band broke up in 1993 but three of their albums were released after 1993? And they only have four albums total? Seems rather... Unlikely. Atinoda 05:45, 24 December 2005 (UTC)

That's entirely possible, although it's more aptly called "flogging the dead horse" i.e. releasing more albums after their split with stuff they hadn't released. The Gits only had three LPs (and one live record) from 1988-1993. Two of them were also remastered posthumously, and the debut LP (Kings & Queens) was released on CD in '96. Tim010987 (talk) 02:05, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

I don't see how anything can be done. GITS is a common abbreviation for the anime series. It is a circumstance which is not going to change. It's not relevant. Yes, it's confusing. What is more confusing is that there's now some band from Poland that's decided to call themselves The Gits. Aside from ignoring them, there's not much that can be done about them either. Life is confusion. That said, I don't think that anyone who types in GITS into wikipedia expecting to see an article featuring the work of Shirow Masamune is going to be fooled into thinking that it's a story about the murder of Mia Zapata.
