It was made in Providence, RI, but somehow won the award for 'best film made in New York' at the Tribeca Film Festival? Ford MF 23:14, 9 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Jesse Eisenberg & The Jeff Goldblum Connection edit

By Bridgett Alden (BridgettAlden)

😂LMFAO at Norman Wilner (of NOW)'s scathing, but oh-so-accurate, critique of Jesse Eisenberg's performance: "blandly conceived version of the characters he usually portrays," adding, "He does the required stammering and shrugging... on autopilot." Omfg, Hilarious! He really does always play the same character! Hahaha *************POSTSCRIPT*************: Oh, the Blasphemy! My laughter has become slightly subdued because a few moments ago, it suddenly dawned on me that Jesse Eisenberg's ONE character is simply a bile-laden, Teenaged (READ: bratty and entitled) regurgitation of Jeff Goldblum's brilliantly imagined and beloved "Overly-Explanatory, Eccentric Genius" character! In case anyone believes they disagree with me, and also as a courtesy to all of those reading this who've lived out their entire lives under a rock and thus do not know the character of whom I speak, I am ending my comment with a full description of said character for future discussion of this topic. I humbly give to you my written offering for what I think should OFFICIALLY be the newest Wikipedia Entry (filed under the "Pop Culture" Category). Please Enjoy and Discuss: The "Overly Explanatory, Eccentric Genius" Character: Jeff Goldblum's classic plebian AntiHero, ever preoccupied by his grandiose I.Q. and its accompanying assortment of lofty, "higher" ideas (of the sort we COMMON-minded folk find hard to grasp; but thankfully for us, and for the audience, he conveniently verbalizes all of his brain's timely and important info for us (ex: an uber-condensed "Idiots Guide to Quantum Physics", or maybe, say, his newly dreamed up instructions for How to Destroy the Alien MotherShip and Save All of Mankind) in brief and concise, explicit detail, AND THEN he (goddamnhelpfully) SAYS IT ALL OVER AGAIN (!), THIS time in "layman's terms"(rapidly and excitedly, keeping the viewer engaged). He possesses an innate and comfortable air of relatability, and tops it all off with natural comedic flair and timing. He is the ORIGINAL "Cool Nerd," and will never fail to delight us with ample helpings of the aforementioned stutters and stammers that, thanks to Jeff Goldblum, are now firmly imbedded in our Collective American Psyche and that we've all come to (rightly) expect from any Scientist-Slash-Nerd that's worth his "NaCl".
