The Casual Vacancy (TV series)The Casual Vacancy (miniseries) – The Casual Vacancy is a miniseries, not a TV series. It lasted for three episodes. It should not be described as a TV series. Every other miniseries is described in the title as miniseries, not TV series. Arcadeice (talk) 18:34, 24 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

  • Support per WP:CONSISTENCY. This kind of move can be speedied at WP:RM/TR, since there's nothing controversial about it.  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  22:43, 24 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Support. Pretty obvious. Martinevans123 (talk) 22:45, 24 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Support - though WP:NCTV does suggest "(serial)" if that phrase is common usage in the originating coutnry. I note that several UK-based sources here use "miniseries" or "mini-series", so is NCTV becoming outdated to recommend (serial)? @SMcCandlish: From experience, moves involving (miniseries) often enough end up drawing some controversy, so best to avoid speedy-ing them. -- Netoholic @ 05:10, 25 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
    • Fair enough; I have mostly been avoiding editing pop-culture articles lately, so my finger isn't on the pulse of them. On the other matter: I wouldn't use "(serial)", because the word is ambiguous and more often refers to something else; a disambiguator that introduces a new ambiguity is a failure, and this isn't Britishipedia – it needs to make sense cross-dialect to the extent that we can make it do so. I would think that NCTV should be revised on this point, if "(miniseries)" isn't causing any brains to melt when used with regard to UK programming. (And there'd be no reason to use "(mini-series)" if "(miniseries)" would work – per WP:CONCISE.)  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  05:33, 25 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Removed copy/pasted plot edit

I removed the plot as it appeared to be copy/pasted from https://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/proginfo/2015/07/casual-vacancy (or similar). Random fixer upper (talk) 05:13, 31 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
