Okay, I have realized that this is very difficult to understand, so here goes: Ing and Ingwë are the same person, a man, not an elf, a kind of King Arthur charcter. Inwë is the Ingwë of the Silmarillion, Inwë's death is (thankfully) uncanonical, it is easier thought of a fading. Ingil is the uncanonical son of the Silmarillion Ingwë. The Inwir are the immediate family of the Silmarillion Ingwë. The Teleri of the BoLT are the Vanyar of the Silmarillion. Gnomes and Ñoldor are the Noldor of the Silmarillion.
