Having had the pleasure of reviewing the 1968 race I'm playing a return date with this one. Some queries:

  • Background
    • If, as appears, you have a standard opening para for this section, please amend "between the boat clubs of University of Oxford" to "between the boat clubs of the University of Oxford, and turn the comma in "…between the two universities, as of 2014…" into a semicolon.
'Tis done. The Rambling Man (talk) 20:51, 22 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
    • "but in 2015 is slated to be held on the River Thames" – I hope you have WP:DATED in mind and will rewrite this – here and in the other Boat Race articles – next year. (In passing, isn't Henley on the River Thames too?)
Yes, I have taken that into account. The Rambling Man (talk) 20:51, 22 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
    • If my arithmetic is correct the umpire must have been about 86 years old. I have checked in the Times archives for 1903 and 1969 and it appears to be right (there's an "A Graham" in both) but I'd like a citation added to the article.
This, dare I be so bold, is the best spot so far in any review I have had on any of the Boat Race articles I have participated in. Turns out there's another "A Graham" who featured for Oxford in 1929. I'll do some more research before committing quite so quickly. The Rambling Man (talk) 20:51, 22 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
      • I misread that, and added a bolshie comment, now reverted. Shall ponder your explanation and respond tomorrow. Tim riley talk 23:58, 22 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
No problem. As it stands, the article is now 100% factually correct, we just don't know which A Graham it was... The Rambling Man (talk) 09:10, 23 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • Race
    • "Cambridge took an early," – train? lead? bath?
Brilliant. Missed the fundamentals.... Fixed. The Rambling Man (talk) 20:51, 22 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Over to you. I'm not bothering to put the article on formal hold for such minor and easily dealt with points. Tim riley talk 11:00, 22 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Tim, great review. I'll see what I can do in the meantime about the outstanding A Graham query. Sadly, worst case is that I resort to A Graham without any background, which, at least, will be factually correct. I'll let you know when I think I've concluded the mystery. I'm prepared to bet that the earlier A Graham was also Alistair, so I'm not going to easily solve this. The latter rowed in 1929 and courted some controversy it would appear regarding a resignation as prez over an argument with coaches.... I've removed the claim of which years he rowed, until such a time I can definitively prove it one way or t'other. The Rambling Man (talk) 21:17, 22 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

I had my say on the excellence of this developing suite of articles at the GAN for the 1968 race. This is another sound contribution, and clearly meets the GA criteria in my judgment. I shall watch with interest to see if you solve the mystery of the A Grahams. Tim riley talk 15:13, 23 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
