Childish Parodies

The theme song has been parodied often over the eons. I remember that this simple version was popular during the summer of 1966, the first year I attended summer camp (Johnson's Boys Club in Los Angeles):

The Addams Family started
when Uncle Fester farted.
The children are retarded;
The Addams Family!

(Followed by pumping the left arm twice
with the right hand cupped in the left
armpit so as to produce a farting sound.
If you were unable to produce the sound
using said technique you were branded a
"retard" for the rest of the day.)
