wholesale changes edit

I'm concerned that [edit - a user] has made wholesale changes to this page. In 2007 and 2008 it was nominated by [edit - that user] for deletion - this time it has been cut down to the status of a stub and many of the citations and much of the content removed. This appears to be part of a crusade to remove entries on Pirate Radio from Wikipedia. There is no suggestion that the articles are inaccurate, simply a dispute about their notability. I do feel that the Pirate stations are often notable. They are the breeding grounds for DJs that move on to official radio and they also develop and champion types of music and styles of presentation that become mainstream. Of course it's difficult to provide volumes of references because the nature of Pirate Radio means that there is less published about them.

I'll try to rebuild the article again - I would be grateful for any help. Aleksdeg (talk) 12:43, 17 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Redacted the wp:PA
If the stations are notable, they will be covered in generally wp:reliable sources.66.236.232.220 (talk) 15:32, 18 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
