Structure images edit
I've added a space-filling model of the crystal structure to the infobox, and there are three further images available, which I'll put here in case needed.
Isoelectronic substances edit
In the article, it says:
- TlI3 is no exception as it is possible to stabilise thallium(III) with excess I− forming the TlI−
4 ion (isoelectronic with the tetraiodomercurate anion and with lead(IV) iodide).
How can lead tetraiodide, presumably a compound with neutral charge, be isoelectronic with an anion of single valence, tetraiodothallate (TlI−
4), and with a divalent anion, tetraiodomercurate (HgI2−
4) ?
