Checking against GA criteria

To uphold the quality of Wikipedia:Good articles, all articles listed as Good articles are being reviewed against the GA criteria as part of the GA project quality task force. While all the hard work that has gone into this article is appreciated, unfortunately, as of March 14, 2010, this article fails to satisfy the criteria, as detailed below. For that reason, the article has been delisted from WP:GA. However, if improvements are made bringing the article up to standards, the article may be nominated at WP:GAN. If you feel this decision has been made in error, you may seek remediation at WP:GAR.

   The Lead does not fully summarise the article as per WP:LEAD.

   Several sections start with a summary, e.g. Background. This results in phrases such as Terri Schiavo collapsed in her home and experienced respiratory and cardiac arrest on February 25, 1990, ... being more or less repeated a few lines later: On the morning of February 25, 1990, at approximately 4:30 a.m. EST, Terri collapsed in a hallway of her St. Petersburg apartment. The article Lead should summarise the artcile, it is not desirable to have mini-summaries throughout. Also note that in respect to this phrase, it would be better to spell out St. Petersburg, Florida. Not all English language readers are familiar with Florida geography and may confuse this with the original Saint Petersburgh.

   Coincidentally, the Pope himself died two days after Schiavo, replacing her story as front-page news. not encyclopaedic.

   Single sentences need consolidate into preceding or succeeding paragraph.

   The issue of conflict of interest raised by guardian ad litem Pearse attached to the Schindlers as well, he reported, since, had they prevailed in the various litigation over guardianship, they as the presumed heirs-at-law would have inherited the remainder of Mrs. Schiavo's estate upon her death. this is completely ungrammatical, rewrite for clarity.

   Make the difference between Jeb and George W Bush absolutely clear by always using their title, e.g. Governor or President.

Indeed, within an hour of her initial hospital admission, radiographic examination of her cervical spine was negative. Specifically, external signs of strangulation including cutaneous or deep neck injury, facial/conjunctival petechiae, and other blunt trauma were not observed or recorded during her initial hospital admission. Autopsy examination of her neck structures 15 years after her initial collapse did not detect any signs of remote trauma, but, with such a delay, the exam was unlikely to show any residual neck findings."
