Yes it can mean Telugu people, to describe someone, e.g. "He is Telugu". I don't know what the equivalent of "Telugu people" is in Telugu, but in English "Telugu" can refer to both the language and the people, just as "French" refers to both. --Schzmo 22:11, 6 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
