Different Categories edit
There are a couple of sections we can improve and/or add. First, there should be a proper and more detailed overview of Team Conflict in the beginning of the article. Also, the page "Workplace Conflict" can be merged with the Team Conflict page because they are very similar. The "Causes of Conflict" and "Conflict Resolutions" sections can be extensively edited and there can also be a sections on cross-cultural conflict. Seasaltpitachips (talk) 19:54, 7 October 2014 (UTC)
Outline for Revision Draft 1 edit
Since the article has a lot to be expanded upon, we would like to propose the following outline for an improved page: 1. Team Conflict Overview: includes a general definition of team conflict in a few sentences (more detail and easily understood than the unhelpful current definition. 2. Types of Conflict: there are a number of different theories for the various forms of types of conflict so this section will be composed of a lot of sub-sections such as constructive vs. destructive conflict 3. Cross-Cultural Conflict: group conflict among diverse or long-distance groups 4. Causes of conflict 5. Conflict management: this will be composed of subsections for preventing conflict and also conflict resolution on a team in which conflict is already present Majority/minority influence: discusses conflict among subgroups within a team as opposed to conflict between individual team members (we may end up placing this in one of the other sections). Due to the fact that the Group Conflict page is more detailed, User:Seasaltpitachips|Seasaltpitachips and I decided to make the changes on within the intragroup conflict section (which is in essence team conflict) on that page instead. Please look there for changes. Additionally, we submitted a request that the team conflict page redirects to the Group Conflict page, however this has yet to be approved.
